The Peaks – Reducing the spread of the Coronavirus (Covid 19)

As the COVID-49 situation continues to evolve quickly, we wanted to provide an update on the additional measures the volunteer Strata Board is taking to keep owners, tenants and our property managers/caretakers safe through this challenging time.

The Strata Property Manager/Caretaker will be increase the cleaning of all high touch surfaces, such as but not limited to elevator buttons, all door handles / knobs, key pads, including ones in the main lobby of all buildings, stairwells, and garbage buildings. Additionally, all floors will be vacuumed, mopped at least 3 times a week or more frequently if required.

Once the back ordered hand sanitizer dispensers and solution arrives the strata will install them in each building for owners to use when they enter the building. We are hoping these will arrive either this week or in the next couple of weeks.

In the interim we ask everyone to follow the COVID-19 Prevention protocols to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our community.

  1. Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. This is the single most effective way of reducing he spread of infection.
  2. If soap and water are not available, alcohol based hand rubs can be used to clean your hands.
  3. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands
  4. Practice physical/social distancing – minimum 2 meters
  5. Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash or into your elbow if you do not have a tissue.
  6. Regularly clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces.
  7. Do not share food, drinks, utensils, etc.
  8. Stay home and do not leave your home if you are or feel sick.

FY21 Annual General Meeting will be conducted by Restricted Proxy Vote

Dear owners,

Your volunteer board of directors is making every effort to stay apprised of the ongoing evolution of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic situation and its potential impact on our condominium complex.

On March 21, 2020 the volunteer board notified owners that the AGM to be held on Saturday March 28, 2020 was cancelled due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and its isolation requirements.

The volunteer board has obtained connected and obtained advice from CHOA on how to proceed with this year’s AGM during this unprecedented time. As a result of this pandemic, there will be no in person meeting held with owners and instead there will be a Special General Meeting by restricted proxy.

The restricted proxy will include all the motions that owners will need to vote on.

The Notice Package and Restricted Proxy will be sent to the owners by either email or physical mail depending if we have their consent to email on file by April 1st. The previous proxy we received will be void as all owners must send in a signed and complete restricted proxy form and vote on each motion presented.

Owners who have questions around the AGM package sent on March 12, 2020 or the new restricted proxy package that will be sent out on April 1st can contact the board  by email stratacorp@radiumpeaks.com or call the Strata toll free number 1-866-364-7424 and choose option 3 and leave a message and a board member will respond within 48 hours.

The board will tabulate the proxies and review and report all resolutions at the Wednesday April 22, 2020 @ 7pm Board meeting.

We once again ask all owners to send in consent to receive notifications by email so we do not have to mail out the physical form to owners and incur the associated costs.

We are asking for anyone who is interested in becoming a board/council member to advise the board via email stratacorp@radiumpeaks.com by Sunday March 29th,  so we can add your name to the council (board) nomination for the restricted proxy.  Please also provide a brief biography so owners can understand why you want to be on the board/council so they can vote accordingly.

Your board of directors is making every effort to stay apprised of the ongoing evolution of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic situation and its potential impact on our condominium complex.

The Board has decided the following:

  1. The scheduled AGM for Saturday March 28, 2020 is cancelled.
  2. The board is currently in consultations with CHOA on how to conduct a restricted proxy for this AGM.  We will send out a notice within the near future with the specifics and additional information.
  3. We are asking for anyone who is interested in becoming a board/council member to advise the board via email stratacorp@radiumpeaks.com by Sunday March 29th,  so we can add your name to the council (board) nomination for the restricted proxy.  Please also provide a brief biography so owners can understand why you want to be on the board/council so they can vote accordingly.

The board has made the hard decision to cancel the upcoming AGM in the effort to contain the spread of COVID 19 and to protect owners, tenants and visitors.   Our priority is the health, safety and well being of our owners, tenants and staff.
